Niki Hastings-McFall is a jeweller and artist based in West Auckland, New Zealand. She first met her Samoan father, James McFall, in 1992. He was terminally ill and sadly, died later that same year. This meeting and the subsequent relationship with her Samoan family has had a profound effect on McFall’s life and work, and since then, her work has been increasingly driven by research into her Pacific Island heritage.
McFall has exhibited in over 100 shows since 1994. These have included exhibitions in New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Hawaii, Samoa, New Caledonia, England and the USA. Her work is held in public and private collections worldwide, including the the Museum für Völkerkunde, Leipzig, Germany, the Tjibaou Cultural Centre, New Caledonia, the Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane, Australia, and the Auckland Art Gallery / Toi o Tamaki, New Zealand.
Niki is represented in NZ by Bartley Nees (Wellington) and Fhe Galleries (Auckland)
